Safe removal of mercury amalgams

These fillings have been found to be not only unsightly, but also a health risk.

Amalgam fillings have been used for more than 160 years in our dental practices as a durable and economical material. Today, it has been proven that these fillings are not only unsightly, but also a health risk.

Amalgam fillings are a ticking time bomb

Composition of amalgams

Amalgam fillings are composed of a metal alloy which, in addition to silver, copper, zinc, tin, etc., also contains 50% mercury (Hg).

This heavy metal, in addition to evaporating at as low as 20°C, reacts chemically with saliva, food and hot drinks.

34 micrograms of mercury are released daily from a metal amalgam and absorbed by the body.

In addition, amalgam fillings contain an electric current due to metal bonding and the higher the galvanic current, the more mercury is released.

Mercury toxicity

Mercury acts in the body by blocking certain hormones, receptors and enzymes.

The action of a heavy metal such as mercury in the body can be reflected in multiple diseases, disorders and dysfunctions, such as:

  • Lack of vitality and muscle weakness
  • Irritability and/or nervousness
  • Coordination problems
  • Headache and/or backache
  • Dizziness and/or trembling
  • Intestinal discomfort
  • Loss of memory and appetite
  • Weakened immune system
  • Allergies
  • Muscle weakness
  • Back pain
  • Depression
  • Anaemia

All this prompts the affected person to consult their doctor, who will not see this as the standard tests do not reflect metal toxicity levels.

This is when some specialists diagnose incurable chronic illnesses, such as psoriasis, fatigue, fibromyalgia, depression, candidiasis, bronchitis, etc. They then try to palliate the symptoms with drugs that will only mask the real problem. While the mercury manages to live free in the system causing all kinds of havoc.
