The Aragão’s Function Regulator technique is a protocol of treatment which reaches all the human body through the mouth. It integrates the functions of the encephalic nerves, as well as breathing, mastication, deglutition, the sense of smell, taste, hearing, eyesight and balance.

A 100% holistic treatment

Using a small orthopaedic functional device placed in the mouth, we are able to regulate the functions of the trigeminus nerve (V pair of the encephalitic nerves), thus regulating the multiple functions it performs in the whole organism. Hence, and almost miraculously, many health problems are solved within a 6-month treatment.

The mouth, and more specifically mastication, is the door to health for the rest of the body. A well balanced mouth on a functional level can help solve problems in the whole system in an integral manner.

The Aragão’s Functional Regulator is a treatment for systemic diseases through the stomatognathic system (SS) created by Dr. Wison Aragão, an expert in orofacial pain and the TMJ syndrome, as well as functional mandibular orthopaedics.

Some of the health problems we can solve with the AFR are:

  • Chronic Pain:

Headaches, migraines, fibromyalgia, trigeminus nerve essential neuralgias, dry or burning mouth syndromes; all of these related to the malfunctioning of the TMJ or Costen Syndrome. Other distant muscle pains such as neck pain, backbone and hip pain and pain in other joints. It also corrects posture problems.

  • Neurological Problems and Allergies:

Especially related to modifications of cognition and behaviour such as the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), multiple chemical sensitivity, dizziness, vertigo and instabilities related to the Meniere Syndrome, sleep disorders, bruxism, Burning Syndrome or chronic fatigue syndrome.

  • Cardio-Respiratory Diseases:

Caused by malfunctioning of heart pumping and poor blood oxygenation, as well as essential hypertensions, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), kidney and intestine malfunction and the oxygenation quality of the blood.

  • Upper Respiratory Track Diseases:

Sinusitis, infectious and allergic rhinitis, mastoiditis, tonsillitis, adenoidal hypertrophy.

  • Stomach and Intestinal Problems:

Heartburn or pyrosis, gastroesophageal reflux conditions, gastritis, hiatal hernia, duodenal ulcer, chronic candidiasis and irritable colon syndrome.
